So Real Sports with some Gumbel or other features three football related stories- Pac Man Jones and his nonsense, Mike Vick and his nonsense, and the nonsense thrust upon Javon Walker.
- Pac Man Jones is a delusional prick. Apparently he didn't do anything to anyone. He's just an innocent bystander. All the time. He looked like a smug asshole all the way through Gumbel's interview, and then he apparently went and bought a new boat. He also said that he was just an easygoing dude, while at the same time looking like he's about three seconds away from punching Whichever Gumbel in the face, just for asking the questions that he had to know he was going to get asked. Jones said, "It's not really for me to make y'all believe, as long as my inner circle, and the people around me know that I'm trying my best..." Why the fuck does your crew need to know that your trying to turn shit around? They're the ones fucking you up, stupid! If you turn your shit around, they all get dropped. There are judges and a commissioner's office that you need o worry about convincing, not your lowlife friends. What a jackass.
- In the dog segment, the first backwoods redneck piece of trash is a coward. He likes dog fighting because of the adrenaline rush HE gets, despite not ever being in any danger himself. The video footage is disturbing, to say the least. I don't like this very much. Frankly, I'm more than a little disgusted. Also- he has a stupid hat. According to piece of trash number 2, dogfighting isn't any more violent than football. I'll believe that the next time I see Mike Vick get drowned by Arthur Blank for failing to convert a crucial third down. This segment is really sickening. Then they euthanized a fighting dog and dumped him in a trash bag. I can't believe I'm looking forward to hearing the Javon Walker part of this show.
- The story's pretty well known, so there's no reason to recap. Until the interview got passed around, I was unaware that Brandon Marshall's cousin was an instigator. One of Darrent's Texas buddies said that he heard girl say, "c'mon, let's go. These Denver dudes, they shoot. They crazy. I been to the clubs plenty of times. Somebody's gonna start shooting." Not to discount this version, since it obviously stems from something, but I've been to the clubs (including the club in question) many many times, and I've never seen anyone start shooting. Ever. It really bothers me that Denver's getting this kind of stigma. What bothers me even more is that there's at least a little truth to it. Walker said that at first, he didn't want to come back to Denver, and he still doesn't know how the murder's going to affect him. He's responded by closing himself off from everyone, and he said he'll probably never let it go. Regardless of football, I just hope Javon can find a happy life, because in the interview, he looked pretty hollow.
The end was some bullshit about tennis, which no one except rich British people and my buddy Jewger likes, so I won't bother.

Nice breakdown. Did you notice in the preseason game that Javon seemed to be going thru the motions? I know it's a preseason game, but Javon really needs the swagger and fire.
Oh yeah, and I love it when PacMan pretended he didn't know what "Make It Rain" meant. Yeah, Bryant Gumbel does and you don't.
They shot me in Denver!
