According to cubuffs.com, there have been a number of former Buffs signed to free agent deals:
- Brian Daniels (evergreen, Mullen High) signed with the Vikings. That's pretty cool, because if dude actually grew hair, he would be a pretty passable viking.
- Bad Thad Washington signed with Buffalo, which works, because he's familiar with part of the name. Kind of how the Steelers used to pick up all kinds of Buffs because they had the same colors (I think that's why, at least).
- Mark Fenton we already talked about.
Further, the website reports that, "Several other Buffs indicated their agents were working on deals. Those players include safety J.J. Billingsley, running back Mell Holliday, wide receiver Blake Mackey, cornerback Lorenzo Sims and cornerback Terry Washington."
After digging a little further, Terry Washington is getting a try-out with the Redskins, Josh Day from Colorado's Second University is in Vikings camp (along with former Wyoming Cowboy Chase Johnson), Dustin Osborne (CSU) signed with the Jets, Aaron Robbins (Wyoming) with the Steelers, and that's it so far. How sad. Zach Latimer, from Denver (Gateway High School), signed a free agen t deal with the Redskins as well. I even saw some guy from something called "The College of Wooster," which can't possibly be real. A guy from the land of make believe got a contract, and the Buffs sit at home. Have I said that Neuheisel can go screw? So here's a picture of Alfred Williams.
